My company is based on the belief that the customers' remodeling experience is of the utmost importance. I am committed to making the project happen personally, hiring minimum subcontractors, therefore nothing is left to chance. (Think Holmes on Homes show, I share that philosophy). I believe that the homeowner should be as comfortable as possible during the process.
I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and exceed your expectations in an industry where shoddy work is commonplace and the person holding the contractor's license is sitting in an office while the helpers are doing the work. If you are hesitant about moving forward with a project you have been considering because of hiring someone you don't know, let me introduce myself and differentiate myself from the other builders who may not have a college education.
Background:
I have been a general building contractor for eight years and have also obtained a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from SDSU in 2005 as well as Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. I am happiest thinking about how the next phase of a project will come together and how it will look the best.
In addition to remodeling, I have completed Property Condition Assessment (PCA) evaluations with opinions of costs incorporated into capital budget projections on most commercial property types, including office, retail, hotel, large multifamily housing projects, manufacturing, and mixed use developments for a wide range of clients including fiduciary institutions, property owners and investors. I have identified deficient building construction including roofing, curtain walls, pavement, and water infiltration issues and recommended corrective options and assisted building owners with corrective action.
I am knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and means of construction as well as building and municipal regulations pertaining to construction. I managed material testing and special inspection projects of upwards of $300,000 and have obtained State of California Division of State Architect, Caltrans, and AASHTO laboratory approvals for a national engineering consulting firm. I was also responsible for review of final reports and QA/QC at that firm. Other responsibilities included facility audits for compliance with International Code Council (ICC) for a large manufacturer of precast concrete and submission of formal reports to the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) for ongoing seismic retrofitting projects in healthcare facilities in Southern California.
Also I bring to the table extensive experience in custom residential construction and remodeling, structural calculations and architectural design, as well as construction management. In addition, I served as the primary building inspector for a number of tribal expansion projects in Southern California including a fire station and hotel casino expansion project.
Based in El Cajon, Mr. Zuzack has worked on projects in all of San Diego county and overseen construction projects in six states. Even if you just need an appliance installed, I would like the opportunity to earn your trust with that simple task to later possibly do a larger project for you or a friend.
